Composing
Music is everywhere. In cars, on stage, on streaming platforms, at conferences, even in customer service queues. It can be clearly present or hidden in the background. Music is a language of emotion, suggesting moods in different settings. It tells us what we are meant to feel at any given moment. When done right, you can actually experience those emotions—whether they are energetic joy or deep melancholy.
I’ve been working with music for almost 15 years, but over the past three to four years I’ve focused more deeply on media composition.
Being a media composer requires a broad range of skills rather than deep specialization in a single narrow field. Knowledge of multiple genres, ensembles, and instruments is central to the work. Strong interpretative ability and communication skills are also essential. If a client asks for something energetic, where pop meets epic film music, you should to be able to interpret that and ask the right questions. That’s how you get the best possible result from a commission.
I can create music for almost anything—whether it’s film, concerts, stage productions, commercials, games, and more.
In my home studio here in Levanger, I have the equipment, connections, and expertise needed to handle most projects. I also assist with music production when needed, which involves a different set of skills and experience.
